Effects
The "Effects" settings found in skills and items help establish the effects that are applied to a target character when an actor or enemy uses a skill or item. The various effects that can be applied are listed below, and it's even possible to create multipurpose skills and items by setting multiple effects.
【State】
Add State
State List
Choose from the states listed in "Database → Edit States". The designated state will be applied, and the probability that it will be successful can be set from 0 to 1,000%. If this value is higher than 100%, the rate of success will be higher than the default for that state.
Remove State
State List
Choose from the states listed in "Database → Edit States". The designated state will be removed, and the probability that it will be successful can be set from 0 to 100%.
【Parameters】
Buff | Choose from the list of parameters. This will raise the designated parameter by 1 rank, with each rank increasing it by 25% of the base value. Set multiple effects if you wish to raise a parameter by 2 or more ranks at once. The number of turns that the effect will continue for can also be set from 1 to 1,000. |
Debuff | Choose from the list of parameters. This will lower the designated parameter by 1 rank, with each rank decreasing it by 25% of the base value. Set multiple effects if you wish to lower a parameter by 2 or more ranks at once. The number of turns that the effect will continue for can also be set from 1 to 1,000. |
Remove Buff | Choose from the list of parameters. If the designated parameter is currently buffed, this will reset its rank and return it to its base value. |
Remove Debuff | Choose from the list of parameters. If the designated parameter is currently debuffed, this will reset its rank and return it to its base value. |
【Other】
Special Effect
Escape
Only "Escape" can be set here, which will cause the target character to flee from battle. If an actor is inflicted with this effect, they will not receive any EXP, and if all party members flee due to a skill with this effect, it will count as a defeat.
Growth
Choose from the list of parameters. This will permanently increase the designated parameter by a value that can be set from 1 to 1,000.
Obtain Skill
Skill List
Choose from the skills listed in "Database → Edit Skills". This will force an actor to learn the designated skill. It has no effect on enemies.
Common Events
Common Event List
Choose from the events listed in "Database → Common Events". This will run the designated common event. It is possible to set multiple events to a single item or skill.
