Greetings, I go by the handle Aspetra, and have been using this name for about 28 years now. I initially got involved with RPG Maker back in the mid-90s while working to help translate the SNES roms of Super Dante 1 and 2. AKA RPG Maker. I worked with Kanjihack in the 90s to release RPG Maker 95 and 2k to the English- speaking fanbase of RPG Maker.

I quickly became a community manger of sorts during those days and organized IRC channels, the releases, and websites to facilitate games, and assets created by the community.

I have not been directly involved with RPG Maker since those days, but have always been a stout supporter of the program and its potential for hobby creators and those that want to create a commercial game.

I am excited for RPG Maker Unite and am thrilled to see the community that will rise around this.

    Welcome!

I have been using RPG Maker since 2004 and unity since 2013. I help run an RPG Maker community called Game Dev Unlimited(used to be RMXP Unlimited back then). Im glad both of my 2 favorite engines have finally came together as 1. I hope to see everyone around the communities and hope Unite becomes big because i see lots of potential in it.

    Hey, yo!!!

The name is James. I've been playing around with RPG Maker for about ten years. I love the database and eventing systems in RPGM. For the last year or so, I've been learning VR development in Unity (I will create a VR prototype in Unite, I promise). My primary interest is figuring out how to make things work, so this RPG Maker Unite thing is right in my wheelhouse. I really like the possibilities in this asset, in particular when it comes to parallax mapping, and being able to develop games with HD graphics. So far, other than lighting (why isn't this compatible with URP?), Unite seems perfect for what I want to create.

    Good day!

My name is...  Also James.  I started back with RPG Maker 95, but really got into it because of Don Miguel's "translation" of 2000.  I used to study game design, but actually designing games has largely taken a backseat to parenting.  I'm hopeful that RPG Maker Unite will give me an avenue to get into something more flexible and powerful than previous makers, but retain the simplicity and groundwork that previous makers offered.

Hey guys, Mark here. Anyone still around? Nice to meet you all!

So being a RM fanboy since the 95 generation, of course I had to get Unite. That was last year.

Unfortunately, well, Unite definitely deserved the one stars it got back then. At one point I almost asked for a refund. It was that bad. But it seems the devs have been working hard on improving it. So I am willing to give it another go. Being a long time fan of the Maker series, I hope this product succeeds as well.

    Welcome back Mark!

The next update will definitely be a game changer for Unite users. Worth another chance for sure.
