WHy are the fonts showing up like this?

I not understanding why the fonts here show up as blocks. Why?

  Are you using Unity 6 with your Unite project? If so you need to follow some steps to reimport the Text Mesh Pro settings:

  Select Window → TextMeshPro → Import TMP Essential Resources → Click "Import" in the bottom right

  Just as info, the recommended version with Unite is still 2021.3.16. You are totally able to use Unity 6, I just wanted to let you know the recommended version.

  Thank you very much. yes before I went with 6 I looked for 2021.3.16 and could not find it. It was not installed on my app just 2 versions for 2023

  Ah understood. You can click to install the recommended version from the Unity setup screen in the Unite Hub:
